Jo Eung-cheon "Jo Guk's new party, the 2nd bulletproof party following Lee Jae-myung's bulletproof vest"

Jo Eung-cheon, a Supreme Council member of the Reform New Party, criticized the new party founded by former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk on the 14th, calling it "the second bulletproof party following the Democratic Party, which has become a strong bulletproof vest for leader Lee Jae-myung."

At the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly that day, Jo said, "Former Minister Cho declared the founding of a new party yesterday," adding, "It has only been five days since he was sentenced to two years in prison in the second trial for charges of his children's admission fraud and covering up Blue House inspections."

He then pointed out, "The new party is a tool for former Minister Cho to 'restore his honor through non-legal means' and a bulletproof new party linking his personal judicial processing with elections, the flower of democracy."

He added, "The day before, former President Moon Jae-in, who met with former Minister Cho, even made remarks that can be interpreted as supporting him by saying he 'understands the inevitability of founding the new party.'"

Jo emphasized, "Park Hong-geun, a member of the Democratic Party and head of the Democratic Reform Progressive Election Coalition Promotion Team, tries to distance himself by saying 'it is difficult to consider them as a target for election coalition,' but Supreme Council member Jeong Cheong-rae of the same party welcomed it with open arms, saying 'I applaud the determination and courage to declare participation in practical politics.' No matter how much the Democratic Party denies the relationship, it is the Democratic Party that sows the seeds, waters, and fertilizes the Cho Kuk new party."

He criticized, "It was the Democratic Party that designed the electoral system allowing proportional satellite parties, and although they pretend to oppose it publicly, the party supported by a former president and a senior supreme council member is also the Democratic Party."

Jo said, "The Democratic Party not only failed to cross Cho Kuk’s river but fell into his swamp, ultimately giving birth to the monster called the Cho Kuk new party. The hypocrisy and double standards of creating satellite parties that distort public opinion and steal taxpayers' money while attaching all the good words like 'democracy, reform, and progress' seem to have become a perfect power brand for the Democratic Party now.
