Total Prize Money $2 Million, 144 Players Competing for Victory

American automobile company Ford is sponsoring the U.S. Women's Professional Golf (LPGA) Tour.

On the 13th (local time), the LPGA Tour announced, "From the 28th of next month, the Ford Championship will be held for four days at the Seville Golf and Country Club in Gilbert, Arizona, USA." It is a newly established tournament. A total of 144 players will compete for a total prize money of 2 million dollars (approximately 2.67 billion won). The winner will be determined through 72-hole stroke play. The Seville Golf and Country Club, where the tournament is held, opened in 2000 and is hosting a professional tournament for the first time.
