In the statement, Charles III said, "Those who have received a cancer diagnosis will understand that such kindness is the greatest comfort and encouragement." He also stated, "The fact that my cancer diagnosis disclosure helps the public's understanding of cancer and highlights the work of all organizations supporting cancer patients and their families in the UK and around the world also gives me courage."

Furthermore, he conveyed to medical staff and cancer-related organizations, "As a result of my experience, my lifelong respect for their tireless care and dedication has grown even stronger."

The royal family also thanked the public for their messages of support and encouragement to Charles III. Queen Camilla, attending an external event on the evening of the 8th, said that Charles III is "doing very well" and that he was "deeply moved by all the letters and messages sent by the public." Additionally, Charles III’s eldest son, Prince William, attended a charity event in London on the 7th and remarked, "The messages of support mean a great deal to all of us," adding, "The past few weeks have been somewhat focused on medical issues." Catherine, the Princess of Wales and wife of Prince William, recently underwent abdominal surgery and is currently recuperating.

Charles III plans to temporarily suspend public activities for cancer treatment but will continue his constitutional duties as king, including paperwork and private meetings. The British royal family stated that King Charles III maintains a positive attitude toward treatment and hopes to return to public engagements as soon as possible. They also said that the cancer diagnosis was disclosed to prevent unnecessary speculation and expressed hope that the king’s diagnosis will help increase public understanding of those affected by cancer.
