Meritz Securities announced on the 8th that it will operate overseas stocks, overseas derivatives, and Contract for Difference (CFD) desks 24 hours a day during the Lunar New Year holiday period.
The countries where trading is possible during the Lunar New Year holiday include the United States, Japan, Canada, Australia, and 11 European countries. Overseas stocks, overseas derivatives, and overseas CFD trading are available through Home Trading Service (HTS), Mobile Trading Service (MTS), and telephone.
However, on the 12th, which is a substitute holiday for Foundation Day, the Japanese market will be closed for one day. The Hong Kong market will be open only for the morning session on the 9th, and the Chinese and Vietnamese markets will be closed throughout the holiday period, so trading is not possible.
In Meritz Securities’ non-face-to-face exclusive comprehensive investment account ‘Super365,’ overseas stock trading commissions are 0.07% (United States, China, Japan, Hong Kong). For foreign exchange fees, a 90% discount applies to the United States, and an 80% discount applies to China, Hong Kong, Japan, and others.
An integrated margin service that allows overseas stock trading in Korean won is also provided, enabling the purchase of US and Japanese stocks without currency exchange.
Additionally, until the end of June this year, an event is underway for all customers to reduce overseas derivatives trading fees and foreign exchange fees. Detailed information about the event can be obtained through the Meritz Securities website or customer support center.
Meanwhile, the ‘Meritz SMART’ application (app) also provides an overseas stock rights information service that allows customers to view dividend, stock split, initial public offering (IPO) schedules, and delisting schedules at a glance to enhance trading convenience.
