Ulsan City will operate an ‘Emergency Medical Service System’ from February 9 to 12 during the Lunar New Year holiday period to prevent medical service gaps and ensure seamless emergency care.
Under the emergency medical service system, Ulsan City and district health centers will operate emergency medical situation rooms and inspect and manage the emergency medical system to minimize inconvenience for citizens using medical institutions and pharmacies, and prepare for mass patient and emergency patient occurrences.
Accordingly, seven emergency medical institutions and five emergency medical facilities in the area will operate their emergency rooms normally 24 hours a day.
Additionally, 100 hospitals and clinics and 318 pharmacies have been designated as open during the holiday period and will operate on their assigned dates.
Four health centers will also be designated as on-duty health centers by date, providing general patient care from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The status of hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies open during the holiday period can be checked through the 119 comprehensive situation room, the websites of Ulsan City and each district health center, the Emergency Medical Portal (E-Gen), smartphone apps (Emergency Medical Information Service), and search portals such as Naver or Daum by searching ‘Holiday Hospital, Holiday Pharmacy.’ Information is also available through the Ulsan City Haeuli Call Center and the Ministry of Health and Welfare Call Center.
