BNK Busan Bank (President Bang Seong-bin) delivered a development fund of 40 million KRW to the Busan Film Commission, a non-profit organization, at the Video Industry Center on the afternoon of the 5th to revitalize the local video industry.
The sponsorship fund delivered that day will be used for various support projects for the development of the local video industry, such as establishing a film and video production system.
Founded in 1999 as Korea's first film production support organization, the Busan Film Commission has played a key role in leveraging Busan's cultural characteristics to build the foundation of the film and video industry and establish itself as a film city with international competitiveness.
At the delivery ceremony, Moon Jeong-won, Head of the Eastern Sales Headquarters of Busan Bank, stated, “Busan Bank will continue to cooperate with the Busan Film Commission so that Busan can rise as an international film city.”
Busan Bank has continuously sponsored the Busan International Film Festival, Asia's premier film festival, for 28 years since its first event in 1996. In addition, it actively supports local cultural events such as the Busan Fireworks Festival and Busan Maru International Music Festival, as well as local cultural and artistic support projects including operating galleries and small theaters and hosting concerts.
