On the 4th, it was finally tallied that a total of 858 people applied for the People Power Party's nomination for the April 10 general election, including lawmakers Na Kyung-won and Ahn Cheol-soo, who applied solely for their constituencies.

Based on the nationwide 253 constituencies, the average competition rate is 3.35 to 1, but there are constituencies, mainly in the Honam region, with no applicants, so the actual average competition rate is higher.

According to the list of applicants for nomination announced by the People Power Party on the 4th, 849 people (736 men and 113 women) publicly applied for the nomination. Nine applied privately.

This number is 11 more than the 847 announced by the Nomination Management Committee immediately after the application deadline the previous day.

Currently, Gyeonggi Province, which has the most constituencies (59), received 228 applications, and Seoul (49 constituencies) received 156 applications. Including Incheon (13 constituencies, 46 applicants), the entire metropolitan area had 430 applicants for 121 constituencies (average competition rate of 3.55 to 1). In the Yeongnam region, the party's core support base, 278 people applied for 65 constituencies (Busan 18, Daegu 12, Ulsan 6, Gyeongbuk 13, Gyeongnam 16). The average competition rate was 4.28 to 1.

In the Chungcheong region, 89 people applied for 28 constituencies (Daejeon 7, Sejong 2, Chungbuk 8, Chungnam 11), recording an average competition rate of 3.18 to 1. Gangwon had 21 applicants for 8 constituencies (2.63 to 1), and Jeju had 6 applicants for 3 constituencies (2 to 1). In the Honam region, where support is weak, only 21 applicants applied for 28 constituencies (Gwangju 8, Jeonbuk 10, Jeonnam 10). The average competition rate was 0.75 to 1, and among these, 10 constituencies had no applicants.

The constituency with the highest competition rate was Hanam in Gyeonggi, with 11 applicants. Ten applicants also crowded into Nonsan-Gyeryong-Geumsan in Chungnam. Both places have no incumbent People Power Party lawmakers. Nine applicants gathered in Pohangnam-Ulleung in Gyeongbuk and Goyangjeong in Gyeonggi. Constituencies with high competition rates, such as Busanjin-gap (8) and Seo-Dong (7) in Busan, Jung-Nam (8) and Dong-eul (7) in Daegu, Andong-Yecheon (8) and Pohangbuk (7) in Gyeongbuk, and Sacheon-Namhae-Hadong (8) in Gyeongnam, were mostly in the Yeongnam region.

There are 44 constituencies with only one applicant, classified as 'single-application constituencies.' However, there is a possibility of private applicants. Former lawmaker Na Kyung-won (Seoul Dongjak-eul) and lawmaker Ahn Cheol-soo (Gyeonggi Seongnam Bundang-gap), who have nationwide recognition, as well as 'former Democratic Party defector' lawmaker Lee Sang-min (Daejeon Yuseong), were classified as single applicants. Unless there are unexpected changes, they are expected to receive the nomination.

Lawmakers Chu Kyung-ho (Daegu Dalseong), Jeong Jeom-sik (Gyeongnam Tongyeong-Goseong), Lee Yang-su (Gangwon Sokcho-Inje-Goseong-Yangyang), Sung Il-jong (Chungnam Seosan-Taean), Song Seok-jun (Gyeonggi Icheon), Park Jeong-ha (Gangwon Wonju-gap), Yoo Sang-beom (Gangwon Hongcheon-Hwacheon-Yeongwol-Pyeongchang), Bae Jun-young (Incheon Jung-Ganghwa-Ongjin), Park Soo-young (Busan Nam-gap), and Kim Mi-ae (Busan Nam-eul) also applied alone in their constituencies.

Former lawmakers Kim Myung-yeon (Gyeonggi Ansan Danwon-gap), Oh Shin-hwan (Seoul Gwangjin-eul), and Kim Seon-dong (Seoul Dobong-eul) also applied solely for nomination, aiming for a political comeback.
