According to the American sports media ESPN on the 2nd (local time), six pairs of basketball shoes worn by Jordan in the six NBA Finals he won were sold at a Sotheby's auction for $8,032,800. These were kept by Tim Hallum, who was the Chicago Bulls' public relations officer and received them directly from Jordan right after the games. Experts analyzed that "since the provenance is clear and they have historical value, they would sell for an astronomical price."

The six pairs of basketball shoes that brought Jordan his championship trophies were auctioned under the name "Dynasty Collection." They consisted of the shoes Jordan wore during the Finals of each respective year: the 1991 Air Jordan 6, 1992 Air Jordan 7, 1993 Air Jordan 8, 1996 Air Jordan 11, 1997 Air Jordan 12, and 1998 Air Jordan 14. The shoes from 1991, 1993, 1996, and 1997 also bear Jordan's signature.

Previously, at a Sotheby's auction in 2021, a pair of Nike basketball shoes worn by Jordan during his NBA debut in 1984 was sold for $1,472,000 (approximately 1.94 billion KRW).

ESPN reported, "This is the highest auction price related to Jordan since the uniform he wore in Game 1 of the 1998 Finals was sold for $10.1 million (1.3 billion KRW) at an auction in September 2022." This uniform set the record for the highest price ever paid for a sports uniform worn by an athlete during a game.

The second most expensive uniform ever sold was worn by Diego Maradona (Argentina) during the 1986 Mexico World Cup quarterfinal match against England, which sold for $9.28 million (approximately 1.2 billion KRW) at an auction in May 2022.

The third most expensive uniform was worn by Lionel Messi during the 2022 World Cup. Messi scored seven goals in the Qatar World Cup, leading Argentina to their first championship in 44 years. He also won the Golden Ball awarded to the tournament's best player. Six uniforms worn by Messi?starting two of Argentina's three group stage matches and the Round of 16 (Australia), quarterfinal (Netherlands), semifinal (Croatia), and final (France)?were sold at an auction last year for $7.8 million (approximately 1 billion KRW).
