On the 27th of last month (local time), Rodriguez posted photos on her social media showing her trip to the Maldives with her family to celebrate her birthday. Along with this, Rodriguez also revealed a photo of the watch she received as a birthday gift from Ronaldo. The watch features diamonds embedded on the front and has a fully pink strap, and it is a digital watch. Rodriguez added, "My love, thank you."

The football-specialized media outlet 'Goal.com' reported that the watch is a custom-made product from the luxury watch brand Jacob & Co. Jacob & Co. was founded by Jacob Arabo in the United States in 1986 and gained a reputation for watches crafted with meticulous jewelry techniques. In May of last year, they held a brand partnership ceremony with Ronaldo's brand CR7 and released four collections. The price is approximately $100,000 (about 130 million KRW). It is reported that Ronaldo paid the $100,000 production cost and did not receive any change.

Netizens who saw the watch gifted to Rodriguez reacted with comments such as "It looks like a toy," "I would buy something else with that money," and "What a waste of money." On the 31st of last month in Spain, a radio host said, "(The watch) resembles a popular children's accessory." He continued, "Rodriguez seems to value inner worth more than material possessions. (The gifted watch) looks like a typical toy," criticizing the gift.

Meanwhile, Rodriguez met Ronaldo while working part-time at a department store and started dating him.
