The Korea Gas Safety Corporation held a founding anniversary event on the 1st at its headquarters in Eumseong, Chungbuk, to reaffirm its commitment to future development.
At the commemorative event, more than 500 guests and headquarters employees attended, including Park Chan-gi, Director of Hydrogen Economy Policy at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Kim Myung-gyu, Deputy Governor of Chungcheongbuk-do, National Assembly member Lee Jong-bae, and Park Ji-hyun, President of the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation.
During the event, the corporation announced plans to transform the paradigm of safety management by integrating advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and IoT into gas safety management. They also introduced a policy to adopt a digital system-based continuous monitoring system to move away from manpower-centered safety management. Additionally, in line with the national green energy policy, they committed to securing hydrogen safety and strengthening their leading role in establishing a carbon-neutral ecosystem.
President Park Kyung-guk emphasized, “The corporation will leap beyond the achievements of the past 50 years as a specialized gas safety institution to become a global comprehensive energy safety organization that resonates with the public.”
