Korean Air is holding a Bokjori hanging event at major domestic business sites from the 2nd to the 15th to celebrate the New Year. This traditional seasonal custom involves hanging a newly made rice winnowing basket (jori) on the wall on the first day of the lunar new year to pray for good fortune throughout the year. Just as rice is collected in the jori, it symbolizes gathering blessings for the year. The baskets will be displayed at six locations: Korean Air check-in counters and lounges at Incheon Airport, Korean Air headquarters in Gangseo-gu, Seosomun building, Hanjin building, and domestic hotels affiliated with the Hanjin Group. The Bokjori were made by Park Seongsu, a designated manufacturer in Gyeonggi-do, from Gume Village in Anseong, Gyeonggi-do, which is famous for its Bokjori village.
