Earlier, at the first meeting held on the 16th, the Nomination Committee decided to implement a systemized nomination process including cutoff ratios and penalties for senior members. They also established the broad framework for primaries, varying the proportion of party members by region.

At the second meeting on the 23rd, they disclosed the criteria for constituencies eligible for strategic nominations. Strategic nominations will be made in constituencies that have suffered three consecutive defeats in previous National Assembly elections.

Chairman Jeong said, "We plan to specify the primary election methods more concretely at the third meeting," and "We will create rules that allow the nomination primaries to be a broad vessel reflecting the sentiments of the people and party members."
