David Beckham, who dominated the world football scene from the 1990s to the 2000s, visited Korea.
The global sports brand Adidas invited Beckham to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Predator football boots. Adidas held the 'Predator 30th Anniversary Exhibition' at the Adidas Brand Flagship Seoul located in Myeongdong, Seoul, providing a special opportunity for Korean fans to meet Beckham.
On the afternoon of the 29th, Beckham arrived at the Adidas Brand Flagship Seoul in Myeongdong, toured the various Predator collections released over the past 30 years, and left his autograph in the exhibition space.
Beckham wore the 'Predator Precision' during the moment he led England to the 2002 World Cup finals with a picture-perfect free kick. He also wore the 'Predator Touch' when he scored a wonder goal from the halfway line in the opening match of the 1996-97 Premier League season.
Beckham attended a talk show with Kim Nam-il and Choi Jin-cheol, who played wearing Predators during the 2002 World Cup, Suwon Samsung’s football prospect Ko Jong-hyun, and actress Jung Hye-in, who appears on SBS’s Gol Ttaerineun Geunyeodeul (literally "The Girls Who Kick the Ball"), to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Predator and share various thoughts about football, engaging with fans present at the event.
Beckham expressed his happiness to meet fans during his visit to Korea after a long time. He said, "I travel to many places around the world, but Seoul is always a city that energizes me, and I feel inspired every time I come here," adding, "It is meaningful to attend this special event celebrating the 30th anniversary of Predator."
More detailed information about Beckham’s visit to Korea can be found on Adidas’s official Instagram and YouTube channels.
The 'Predator 30th Anniversary Exhibition,' which showcases the 30-year history of the Predator collection from 1994 to the present, will continue at the Adidas Brand Flagship Seoul (Myeongdong) until February 4.
