An anger management specialist was arrested by the police on charges of killing a neighbor while failing to control his own anger.
On the 23rd (local time), major foreign media reported that the DeLand Police in Florida arrested Travis McBride (46) on the 18th for shooting and killing a familiar neighbor and storing the victim's body in the trunk of a car. He is facing first-degree premeditated murder charges.
McBride was known to have a close relationship with the victim, Clinton Dosi (51), and on the day of the incident, he lost his temper during a verbal argument and shot him. It is also known that they had conflicts over a dog McBride raised. The day before the incident, McBride reportedly visited Dosi and angrily said, "You hurt my dog."
Police who responded to a neighbor's report found Dosi's body in the trunk of McBride's vehicle. McBride admitted that he openly said, "I will kill Dosi," but did not disclose specific plans for the murder, according to reports.
The informant stated that they heard eight gunshots on the night of the verbal argument. They witnessed McBride shooting Dosi and testified that McBride came to them the next morning asking them not to report to the police.
Meanwhile, the suspect McBride is known to work as a mental health specialist, including bipolar disorder and anger management, which has caused further controversy. He is also the owner of a medical service company called 'Starting Point Mental Health.' He is an expert in psychology, having majored in psychology at the University of Central Florida and earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in clinical psychology.
However, he has been known to consistently cause problems related to violence. In 1996, he was arrested on felony charges but was reduced to a misdemeanor. In 2017, he was reported for domestic violence for strangling his ex-wife, but the case was dismissed after the victim expressed a desire not to prosecute.
