The Joint Chiefs of Staff announced on the 28th that North Korea fired several cruise missiles into the East Sea near Sinpo City, Hamgyongnam-do.
At around 8 a.m. on the same day, the Joint Chiefs detected several cruise missiles launched by North Korea. The Joint Chiefs stated, "South Korean and U.S. intelligence authorities are conducting a detailed analysis," adding, "Our military has strengthened surveillance and vigilance while closely cooperating with the U.S. side and is monitoring additional signs and activities of North Korea."
This is the first time in four days since the 24th that the Joint Chiefs have detected cruise missiles launched by the North Korean military. North Korea claimed that the missiles fired four days ago were the newly developed strategic cruise missile model 'Bulhwacheol-3-31.'
