Former lawmaker Yoo Seung-min stated on the 28th, "I will protect the party. I will not apply for nomination."

On the same day, Yoo said on Facebook, "I joined the Grand National Party, which became the opposition party for the first time 24 years ago. There were many difficult times, but I devoted my youth," adding, "I have always wished for the right path and have a deeper affection than anyone else, both then and now."
Yoo emphasized, "This party is not a private faction of any individual," and "The true owners are the citizens of the democratic republic who hope politics exists for the public good."
Yoo said, "I have endured for a long time and will continue to endure," and "I will devote the rest of my life to ensuring our politics serve a better world."
