Repair cost 2.8 million won... Foreign woman causes 'vulgar disturbance' on someone else's car

Police Arrest One Suspect... 2 Million Won Fine
Investigation Halted on Remaining Suspects Due to "No Tracking Method"

Foreign women dressed in Halloween costumes climbed onto a stranger's vehicle and caused a disturbance by engaging in sexual acts. The vehicle owner had to bear the repair costs, but the investigation was halted after failing to track down the women involved.

According to Yonhap News on the 26th, around 2 a.m. on October 28 last year, just before Halloween, Mr. A, who runs a business in front of the US military base in Songtan, Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, experienced an incident where his vehicle was damaged due to the disturbance caused by foreign women.

The foreign women climbed onto Mr. A's vehicle parked on the road in front of the store and performed actions reminiscent of sexual acts, and an acquaintance of Mr. A who witnessed the scene recorded the incident.

One of the group, cheering while watching a woman shaking her body on the vehicle, climbed onto the vehicle and mimicked similar movements, stepping on the front windshield and climbing onto the roof, causing a disturbance.

When Mr. A arrived at the scene after receiving a call, the women had already disappeared. Mr. A reported the incident to 112. The Pyeongtaek Police Station in Gyeonggi Province immediately launched an investigation and booked one of the suspects, US military personnel B, on charges of property damage.

After completing the investigation, the police handed over B to the prosecution, and earlier this month, the court sentenced him to a fine of 2 million won.

However, the whereabouts of another woman involved in the disturbance remain unknown. After the incident, she disappeared into an alley without CCTV, making tracking difficult, and B also stated that he met the woman for the first time at a club on the day of the incident.

A police official said, "We received the report and conducted a multifaceted investigation, but since there was no way to track the suspect further, we reluctantly decided to suspend the investigation," adding, "B, who caused the disturbance together, consistently maintained that he did not know the woman."

Mr. A's vehicle, which was only five months old at the time of the incident, had its hood and roof dented, resulting in repair costs of 2.8 million won. In an interview with Yonhap News, he said he received half of the repair costs from B but expressed his determination to find the other culprit and make sure they pay for their crime.
