A Torn Porsche... Why Did the Thief Only Steal the Headlights?

"High-Performance Headlights Used for Cannabis Cultivation"

An incident occurred in Germany where only the headlights of the luxury car brand Porsche were stolen.

On the 25th (local time), British daily The Sun and other foreign media reported that the headlights of a Porsche vehicle parked on a street in D?sseldorf, Germany, were stolen. The vehicle in question is a Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo model, with a price range known to be at least 100 million KRW and up to over 200 million KRW.

The color of the damaged vehicle is Mamba Green Metallic. The price of the stolen headlights is reported to be 3,500 pounds (approximately 5.4 million KRW) each.

A photo of the damaged vehicle was also posted on the American online community 'Reddit.' The released photo showed the front part of the Porsche vehicle appearing to be damaged by a sharp tool. Also, the area where the headlights should have been was completely empty. It is reported that the thief did not steal anything other than the headlights. Netizens reacted with comments such as "The car looks like it was torn like paper," "They took the car's eyes," and "I wonder if there were no witnesses."

The Sun pointed out, "High-performance headlights are used for cannabis cultivation." This is because high-performance headlights are brighter and require less electricity than the lighting used for cannabis cultivation.

Previously, in Amsterdam, Netherlands, where cannabis smoking is legal, it was reported that at least 30 high-end car headlights were stolen in 2014.
