LG Electronics is building an online platform called 'LG Business Cloud' that consolidates solutions for operating and managing B2B products, including commercial displays.
LG Electronics announced on the 26th that it will unveil LG Business Cloud for the first time at the display exhibition ISE 2024, held in Barcelona, Spain, on the 30th (local time).
Commercial displays require customized content for each product installed in various locations and frequent content replacement according to schedules. Therefore, not only hardware technology such as image quality but also solutions that integrate the management of the entire display and content are important.

LG Business Cloud provides various software solutions for operating LG Electronics' commercial displays.
The solution for creating content applied to hotel TVs and signage features a user-friendly UX/UI that even beginners can easily use, and it can monitor signage abnormalities and energy consumption in real time and remotely control them to improve efficiency. It is also possible to enjoy artworks such as masterpieces and provide weather, flight, and tourism information through displays provided by partner companies.
In particular, customers using LG Electronics hotel TVs and signage equipped with webOS 6.0 or higher are provided free of charge with control functions such as device on/off and rebooting, as well as a dashboard function that clearly shows the operating status of devices. Services that assist customers, such as solution video manuals and online Q&A, are also included on the platform.
LG Business Cloud will be launched in March. Solution purchases within the cloud will be available starting in North America and will expand globally to Korea, Europe, and other regions. LG Electronics plans to grow LG Business Cloud into a total B2B solution platform by adding solutions related to electric vehicle charging and robots in the future.
On the 10th (local time), LG Electronics CEO Cho Joo-wan identified the B2B business as a new growth engine for LG Electronics at a CES 2024 press conference, stating, "We will not only supply products but also expand into high value-added businesses by adding various solutions that customers need."
