Polaris Office is launching its SDK (Software Development Kit) on the GPT Store to implement a super-gap strategy by securing a leading position in the AI (Artificial Intelligence) market and expanding revenue.
On the 24th, Polaris Office announced that it has newly registered the 'Polaris Document Convertor' app on OpenAI's GPT Store version.
This app transforms the document conversion feature, which is the most frequently used function among existing SDK products, into an AI chatbot. Users can input commands such as "Convert HWP (Hangul) file to PDF" in a conversational interface, and the app performs the task accordingly.
The company stated, "We have possessed various document-based SDK technologies through document creation software for over 20 years," adding, "Starting with the document conversion feature, we plan to convert various SDK product lines into AI chatbots to maximize profitability."
They continued, "We have been cloudifying office software for the past 10 years and have 127 million global subscribers, making us a prepared AI cloud tech company," emphasizing, "We will maintain a super-gap strategy in terms of technology and speed."
Meanwhile, according to industry sources, Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, is expected to visit Korea this week to explore cooperative relationships related to AI semiconductors with domestic semiconductor companies.
During his visit to Korea last year, Altman expressed interest in domestic startups at a meeting, stating, "I am very interested in deep tech companies," and added, "I want to meet many platform developers, visit many companies, and collaborate in the chip development field."
