Security Specialist Companies Veloc and Youngjin College Industry-Academic Cooperation ... Training 'Cybersecurity Professionals'

Yeungjin College (President Choi Jae-young) has partnered with Veloc (CEO Lee Jung-hyun) to foster cybersecurity professionals and signed an industry-academia cooperation agreement.


Yeungjin College recently signed the agreement at the Bokhyeon Campus conference room with Veloc CEO Lee Jung-hyun, Yeungjin College Vice President Jang Hyun-joo, Head of the Computer Information Department Lim Deok-seong, and other officials in attendance.

According to the agreement, Veloc and Yeungjin College's Computer Information Department will mutually cooperate in developing and operating cybersecurity-related educational programs, supporting on-site training and internships for department students, collaborating for recruitment, and engaging in technology exchange and joint research.


Founded in 2009, Veloc is a recognized security specialist company that has expanded its business across various security fields. Currently, it employs about 90 skilled professionals and boasts annual sales of 27.9 billion KRW.


Since 2016, the company has grown by conducting various security projects for domestic power companies, public institutions, and government offices. In 2023, it was listed on the Korea Exchange and provides business solutions to enhance customer value in the network security service sector.


Lee Jung-hyun, CEO of Veloc, stated, “We will collaborate to cultivate high-quality cybersecurity professionals based on Yeungjin College’s talent development capabilities and Veloc’s field experience.”


Jang Hyun-joo, Vice President of Yeungjin College, said, “Through this agreement, we hope that our current students and graduates will grow into top-tier talents in the cybersecurity field and demonstrate outstanding skills at network security companies including Veloc.”


Yeungjin College’s Computer Information Department recorded an employment rate of 87.6% in 2024, a 5% increase from the previous year, establishing itself as a prestigious IT-specialized department. In particular, its Japanese IT program has placed over 500 graduates in major Japanese IT companies such as SoftBank (30 employees), Yahoo Japan, and Rakuten, achieving an employment rate exceeding 90% and becoming a leading institution producing top global IT talent nationwide.
