Collision Accident at Changwon 1 Tunnel on Namhae Expressway... 5 Injured

At around 10:50 a.m. on the 20th, a 22-ton truck and four passenger cars traveling toward Busan collided in succession at the Changwon 1 Tunnel on the Namhae Expressway in Chilwon-eup, Haman-gun, Gyeongnam.

According to the police and fire authorities, one person was seriously injured and four others sustained minor injuries. They were transported to the hospital by the dispatched 119 ambulance team.

Some parts of the road around the accident site were closed, causing severe traffic congestion on the expressway section for about an hour.

The police are investigating the exact cause of the accident by questioning the drivers and witnesses.
