The event gathered both public and private sectors, including Minister Lee Jong-ho of the Ministry of Science and ICT, Kim Seung-hwan, CEO of Amorepacific, Ryu Jeong-hoon, CEO of Doosan Robotics, and Yong Seok-woo, President of Samsung Electronics' Visual Display Business Division, to discuss AI policies.
CEO Choi began by saying, "It has long been the case that search, messenger, and commerce are dependent on some global platform companies, and Naver is also in a situation where it is considering selection and concentration. AI feels like an additional front line."
She added, "At CES, I confirmed that even the hardware industry based on the AI data industry is becoming dependent on some global companies. Seeing global companies with overwhelming capital and human resources, I feel even more desperate and am contemplating how to compete and how much to invest."
