Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency, Gyeongnam Energy, and GSE Urban Gas have joined forces to promote various news, including prevention methods for jeonse fraud and text payment scams.

This is to protect residents from various expected financial scams and jeonse frauds threatening the lives of ordinary people ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.

They previously signed a business agreement in 2019 to revitalize community policing and conducted crime prevention education for safety inspectors.

The Provincial Police Agency announced on the 18th that it will deliver crime prevention news to residents exposed to various crime risks through ▲ Gyeongnam Energy's mobile bill notification talk ▲ official blogs, YouTube, Facebook, and other social media ▲ GSE paper bills.

They plan to inform the public about ▲ text payment scams (smishing) disguised as Lunar New Year greetings and gifts ▲ jeonse fraud prevention methods ▲ year-end tax settlement electronic financial scams (phishing) warnings through card news and videos.

A representative of the Provincial Police Agency said, “We hope that residents will remain vigilant and take preemptive measures in their daily lives to reduce cases of unjust damage.”
