Out of 292,000 available seats, 221,000 were sold, marking an increase of 4.6 percentage points compared to last year's Chuseok holiday reservation rate and 12.5 percentage points compared to last year's Lunar New Year holiday reservation rate.

By route, the reservation rate was highest on the Gyeongjeon Line at 90.6%, followed by the Jeolla Line (87.5%), Donghae Line (78.8%), Gyeongbu Line (75.5%), and Honam Line (72.9%).

By date, the highest reservation rate for the outbound line was on the day of the Lunar New Year (February 10) at 80.7%, when the most travelers were returning home. For the inbound line for return travelers, the highest reservation rate was on the last day of the holiday (February 12) at 78.1%.

Tickets reserved must be paid for by midnight on the 21st. Tickets not paid for within the period will be automatically canceled and reassigned to those on the waiting list.

Those who made reservations through priority booking for transportation-vulnerable groups such as the elderly, disabled, and veterans on the 15th and 16th can complete payment by midnight on the 24th.

Unsold remaining seats will be available for purchase from 3 p.m. on the 18th via the SRT app, website, station counters, and kiosks.

SR plans to intensively monitor online secondhand trading platforms to prevent illegal ticket transactions. If any signs of illegal trading are detected, they will respond strongly, including requesting investigations.

Jongguk Lee, CEO of SR, said, "We will do our best to prepare so that people can safely and conveniently visit their hometowns by SRT during the Lunar New Year holiday period."
