3 Mobile Carriers Compete to Attract Galaxy S24 Customers with 3 Million Won Prizes and Limited Edition Releases

With the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, the competition among the three major mobile carriers (SK Telecom, KT, and LG Uplus) to attract customers is intensifying. They are offering various benefits to capture customers' attention, ranging from sweepstakes with prizes worth up to 3 million KRW, live commerce broadcasts hosted by famous celebrities, limited edition models, to device discounts.

On the 18th, SK Telecom announced that it will start pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S24 series from the 19th until the 25th. SKT introduced a promotion linked with its AI personal assistant 'A.' First, the 'New Year Lucky Card' promotion will be held on the A. app and the T World website. This promotion, running from the 26th of this month to the 8th of next month, offers prizes worth up to 3 million KRW through a lottery among participating customers. Customers using the A. service will get an additional chance to enter the promotion. Events linked to Galaxy S24 and A. will also be held on T Membership and the official online mall T Direct Shop, with prizes awarded by lottery.

A total of 2,424 customers who visit SKT’s official certified dealers to pre-order and activate the Galaxy S24 will be entered into a lottery to win prizes such as ▲Stussy × Beats Studio wireless headphones (10 winners) ▲Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Travis Scott (4 winners) ▲Mega MGC Coffee Americano coupons (2,384 winners).

Customers who activate the Galaxy S24 by March 28 will receive five types of the subscription product 'Uju Pass Plus Subscription' free for two months, allowing discounts at Yogiyo, Paul Bassett, CU convenience stores, Mega Coffee, Market Kurly, and more. The Hongdae T-Factory and over 2,700 SKT official certified dealers nationwide will also provide environments where customers can directly experience the Galaxy S24.

LG Uplus is the only carrier to host a live commerce broadcast called ‘Uplus LIVE’ to introduce the Galaxy S24 features and pre-order benefits starting at midnight on the 19th. A total of 10 broadcasts will be scheduled until the last day of pre-orders, featuring celebrities such as actor Lee Yi-kyung, comedian Lee Eun-ji, broadcaster Hwang Kwang-hee, and IT YouTuber Seoulrian. On the 20th, a foreign guest will appear to demonstrate key AI features of the Galaxy S24, including the new 'real-time translation' function.

LG Uplus is collaborating with the pet platform ‘Podong’ to launch a limited edition version exclusive to Uplus.com called ‘Daengdaeng Edition with Podong.’ Based on the Galaxy S24 Ultra 512GB model, it is limited to 1,000 units. The edition’s concept is 'walk,' and it includes packages related to walking such as ▲SmartTag2 and pet strap ▲walking bag ▲four rolls of waste bags with a case. Through the SmartThings app linked with SmartTag2, users can check their pet’s real-time location and walking records. Pre-orders can be made on the Daengdaeng Edition dedicated website, and customers who pre-order will be entered into a lottery for various benefits.

An online-only 'Miri Dream' service has also been newly created to deliver pre-ordered new smartphones immediately. Customers who apply before noon on the first pre-order day, the 19th, will receive their devices the same day, and those who apply after the 20th will receive sequential delivery starting from the 22nd. The obtained experience talisman can be exchanged for scratch coupons redeemable for Genie TV 5,000 KRW vouchers and Genie TV Prime Super Pack usage rights. Special experience zones will be operated at Hongdae Ad Shop Plus, KT Plaza Garosugil flagship store, and KT Avenue.

KT has also prepared exclusive purchase benefits available only on its official online mall 'KT.com.' The 'Galaxy S24 Ultra 1TB,' exclusively released on KT.com, can be pre-ordered at the price of the 512GB model. Customers who order by the 23rd will receive their phones quickly on the launch day through the 'Courier Delivery Guarantee Event.' Customers who pre-order or purchase the Galaxy S24 series will be automatically entered into prize events for Galaxy Book4 Pro, Bespoke Jet AI, and others, and customers aged 34 or younger will receive a 30,000 KRW Galaxy Store voucher on a first-come, first-served basis. All Galaxy S24 series buyers will receive a 30,000 KRW exclusive accessory coupon and a coupon pack worth up to 9,000 KRW per month for two years.
