Dongbu Construction has stepped up winter season site safety management.
Dongbu Construction announced that it will conduct the '2024 Winter Job Training for Safety and Health Managers' on the 18th-19th and 29th-30th. The winter job training is held annually to enhance managers' job competencies and to facilitate communication and information exchange among employees.
The training program consists of practical exercises that can be applied on-site, including Dongbu Construction's 2024 safety and health goal achievement plan, site safety and health task implementation guidelines, and emergency response procedures.
This training includes a dedicated discussion session among employees to achieve the vision of becoming a 'Sustainable Top 10 Construction Company.' Education on the newly established company-wide safety and health Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, launched at the end of last year, will also be provided.
Dongbu Construction's new safety and health ERP system was developed to strengthen the safety and health management framework and improve efficiency. It allows easy management of site and process control, company-wide site safety and health policies and goals, risk assessments, and more through a computerized system and mobile devices.
A Dongbu Construction representative explained, "Detailed results such as work environment measurements and health checkup data for site workers' safety can be reviewed, and safety and health-related regulations can also be accessed." He added, "Dongbu Construction plans to expand the use of the safety and health ERP system, including conducting evaluations for selecting qualified partner companies."
