On the 14th, the Justice Party decided to form an electoral alliance party with the Green Party ahead of the April 10 general election.
At the regular party convention held at the National Assembly Members' Office Building on the same day, the Justice Party approved the motion to promote the electoral alliance party with 136 votes in favor out of 195 delegates present.
The Justice Party plans to conduct a four-day party member referendum from the 22nd to the 25th to gather opinions on whether to change the name of the electoral alliance party to "Green Justice Party." The referendum will also decide on the approval or disapproval of the plan for Kim Jun-woo, the emergency committee chairman, to serve as the Justice Party representative among the co-leaders of the electoral alliance party.
Previously, the Justice Party had been promoting an electoral alliance party consisting of four progressive parties centered on itself (Labor Party, Green Party, Justice Party, Progressive Party). However, due to disagreements within the Labor Party and Progressive Party, they decided to first form an alliance party with the Green Party. The Green Party plans to hold a party member referendum from the 18th to the 22nd on whether to proceed with the electoral alliance party.
