Granddaughters suspicious of bruises on their grandmother's body, who was staying at a nursing home in the UK, installed a hidden camera and caught the staff assaulting their grandmother.
On the 12th (local time), BBC reported that sisters Daniel Hinsley and Rebecca Hinsley had nursing home staff legally punished. The sisters visited their grandmother living in a nursing home in Wolverhampton, central England, and after noticing her behavior had changed and seeing bruises on her face and wrists, they placed a picture frame with a camera installed in the room in February 2020. This was because their grandmother, who suffered from vascular dementia, could not explain what had happened.

Four days after installing the hidden camera, the Hinsley sisters checked the footage and confirmed scenes of their grandmother being mentally and physically abused. The staff teased her, lifted her legs in the air, pinched her face, and hit her with a pillow.
Daniel said, “Watching the footage broke my heart,” adding, “My grandmother was mostly naked and confused.”
The sisters took the video evidence to the nursing home manager and the police. Four nursing home staff members in their 30s and 40s were sentenced to prison terms of 4 to 6 months at the end of last year for assaulting the grandmother.
The police said, “Without the footage, we would not have known what happened or been able to prove it.”
