Ruling Party and Government to Support Credit Recovery for Up to 2.9 Million Full Overdue Debt Repayers

The People Power Party and the government will support credit recovery for up to 2.9 million people who have fully repaid their overdue debts.

On the afternoon of the 11th, Yoo Ui-dong, the Policy Committee Chair of the People Power Party, announced this during a briefing following the 'Credit Amnesty Consultation Meeting for the Working Class and Small Business Owners' held at the National Assembly.

Chair Yoo stated, "The financial sector will prepare credit recovery support measures as quickly as possible, aiming to sign an agreement as early as next week and implement the measures accordingly."

The eligible individuals are credit-vulnerable groups who had overdue debts of 20 million won or less from September 2021 to January 2024 and have fully repaid them by the end of May.
