Hyundai Construction announced that all 473 units of ‘Hillstate Yuseong’ have been fully contracted. Despite the frozen real estate market in regional metropolitan cities, the housing demand surged due to the brand value, excellent location, and product quality, concluding the sales with high interest.
Industry insiders responded that the successful sales of Hillstate Yuseong were anticipated. It is analyzed that buyers expecting high future value flocked to this branded complex supplied in the Yuseong-gu area, where various development prospects are planned.
In fact, Yuseong-gu was designated as a national industrial complex candidate site in March last year. The candidate site is located in Gyochon-dong, Yuseong-gu, and is planned to be developed on a total area of 5.3 million square meters, approximately equivalent to 742 soccer fields (7,140㎡ each). Experts analyze that this development will become a growth engine securing Daejeon's urban competitiveness. The Daejeon city government expects economic ripple effects such as a production inducement effect of 6.2 trillion KRW and employment creation of 35,000 jobs through this industrial complex development.
Additionally, in April of the same year, SK On announced that it would invest a total of 470 billion KRW by 2025 to expand the research institute facilities at the Daejeon Battery Research Institute in Yuseong-gu and establish a next-generation battery pilot plant and a Global Quality Control Center (G-VC). This expansion of research facilities is expected to create more than 400 new jobs.
Moreover, the fact that Hyundai Construction is in charge of construction, ensuring excellent project stability, is also cited as a major factor for the successful sales. Hyundai Construction’s ‘Hillstate’ ranked first overall in the ‘2023 Best Apartment Brand’ survey and has been recognized as a leading domestic brand, recording the number one brand reputation index for 57 consecutive months as of December last year.
The complex offers move-in cleaning, space sterilization services, and breakfast delivery services for residents, and various hotel-style concierge services (laundry service, car wash visits, pet care, childcare, etc.) available to residents have attracted buyers’ attention.
Nearby living infrastructure also drew buyers’ interest. The complex is conveniently located near Yuseong Oncheon Station and Gapcheon Station on Daejeon Subway Line 1. Furthermore, the planned tram for Urban Railway Line 2 will stop at Yuseong Oncheon Station, enabling transfers between Lines 1 and 2 in the future, and access to KTX and SRT Daejeon Station will also be easy.
In addition, easy access to Hanbat-daero, Gyeryong-ro, Oncheon-ro, and World Cup-daero allows vehicle movement throughout Daejeon, and entry to the Honam Expressway Branch and Gyeongbu Expressway via Yuseong IC is also convenient. The Yuseong Metropolitan Complex Transfer Center (Yuseong Complex Terminal) is scheduled for completion in 2026, which is expected to further improve the metropolitan transportation network.
Convenience facilities are well equipped. The complex is close to large shopping facilities such as Homeplus Yuseong Branch, NC Department Store, and E-Mart Traders, as well as Megabox, large hospitals around Yuseong Oncheon Station, and commercial districts. Additionally, it offers an educational environment with Jangdae Elementary School, Jangdae Middle School, Yuseong High School, KAIST, and Chungnam National University.
Meanwhile, Hillstate Yuseong is composed of 4 buildings ranging from 3 basement floors to 26 above-ground floors, totaling 473 households, with move-in scheduled for October 2025. In addition, Hyundai Construction is currently selling ‘Hillstate Gayang The Wise’ in Daejeon Metropolitan City and is preparing to launch ‘Hillstate Gajang The First’ and ‘Hillstate Dunsan.’ Riding on the full sale of ‘Hillstate Yuseong,’ these two complexes are also expected to attract significant buyer interest.
