Last Year, Jeju Air Served 12 Million Passengers... "One Ticket Sold Every 2.5 Seconds"

Even Customers Who Used the Incheon-Nagoya Route 135 Times
Foreigners Mostly Use Japan, China, and the U.S. in That Order

Last year, the number of people who used Jeju Air exceeded 12 million.

On the 8th, Jeju Air announced that the total number of passengers last year was 12,307,815. When divided by the simple time (1 year = 31,536,000 seconds), it means one ticket was sold every 2.5 seconds.

The passenger who used the service the most was a woman born in 1949, Ms. A, who took the Incheon-Nagoya route 135 times one way. The total distance she traveled reached 131,625 km, which is equivalent to three times the circumference of the Earth.

Last year, foreigners from a total of 220 nationalities boarded Jeju Air. Based on the number of passengers, Japan was the highest, followed by China, the United States, and Thailand.

The customer who used the most Jeju Air ‘Refresh Points,’ which can be used like cash for purchasing tickets, pre-paying baggage, and in-flight meals, was a woman born in 1978, Ms. B, who spent a total of 7,008,000 points. This amount is enough to travel the Gimpo-Jeju route about 57 times (based on the peak season published fare of 123,700 KRW). Refresh Points are accumulated at 5% of the pure airfare.

There was also a customer who ordered pre-ordered in-flight meals 20 times. The best in-flight meal chosen by this customer was ‘fish dish and white wine,’ which was ordered 9 times.

A Jeju Air official said, “In 2024, we will strive to create new travel experiences with our customers through even better services.”
