Former Democratic Party spokesperson Lee Kyung, who was fined by the court on charges of retaliatory driving, repeatedly stated that it was not him but the designated driver who committed the retaliatory driving, saying, "Would a female driver commit retaliatory driving at 10 p.m.?"
In relation to the retaliatory driving charges on the YouTube channel 'Saenal,' former spokesperson Lee said, "I absolutely did not drive," and added, "If I had driven, I would not have said that I would go to the police station immediately when contacted by the police (two years ago)." He said, "The judgment states that I confessed to driving, but that is not true," and explained, "The vehicle insurance was under my name, and I usually said that I drove, but despite my explanation, the court ruled that I confessed." He also said, "Would a female driver be scared at 10 p.m. and commit retaliatory driving knowing who it was?"

I do not drink alcohol, but people around me called a designated driver." However, the black box footage capturing the incident has been deleted. Lee stated that the black box footage was deleted while the investigation was delayed due to police circumstances, and he was unaware that the memory card had a storage period.
He said, "When I called the police, they said they were not coming now but would come later and schedule an appointment," and added, "Even though I scheduled to go, the police kept postponing, so it happened about two months later." He expressed his frustration, saying, "I repeatedly asked the police what I needed to prepare, and they said I just needed to come and give a statement."
Regarding not being able to identify the designated driver's contact information, former spokesperson Lee said, "I could not actively pursue it because I was worried that my personal matters would negatively affect the presidential election," and added, "Because of my spokesperson duties, I had many meetings, so I do not remember where I met whom right before the incident, who the designated driver was, or who called the designated driver."
Meanwhile, former spokesperson Lee was fined 5 million won by the court on the 15th for retaliatory driving charges. Lee is accused of repeatedly braking abruptly after a car following him honked and flashed high beams when he changed lanes around 10 p.m. on November 12, 2021, on a road in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. Lee claimed in court that a designated driver was driving the car instead of him at the time of the incident, but the court did not accept this claim.
