Ulsan Nambu Fire Station Conducts Mountain Rescue Training to Prepare for Winter Hiking Accidents

Ulsan Nambu Fire Station (Chief Kim Gyu-ju) is conducting mountain rescue training for the rapid rescue of stranded and injured persons.


Okdong 119 Safety Center announced that on the 1st at 2 p.m., it will conduct mountain rescue training for on-site personnel at Solmaru-gil in Daegongwon Park to prepare for accidents involving visitors.


This training was organized considering the increase in the number of hikers on Solmaru-gil during autumn and winter, aiming to develop rapid search and effective rescue capabilities in case of falls or stranded accidents involving hikers.


The main training contents include ▲ securing the optimal access route through familiarization with the entrances and zones of Ulsan Daegongwon Park ▲ checking streetlight number tags in Ulsan Daegongwon Park ▲ rapid rescue using rescue equipment such as ropes ▲ cultivating rescue methods suitable for weather conditions and the physical strength of personnel.


A 119 Safety Center official said, “Autumn and winter hiking involves many risk factors, so special caution is required,” adding, “We will protect citizens' safety through close cooperation with related organizations and thorough accident response training.”
