Kyowon Tour's 'Travel Daum' announced on the 14th that it will launch a wellness-specialized product called 'Jecheon Wellness Travel.'
This is a themed product that allows participants to enjoy both healing and health through wellness activities such as Jecheon's beautiful natural scenery, healthy food, and herbal foot baths. It was planned in collaboration with the Jecheon Oriental Medicine Bio Promotion Foundation, a participating institution in the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's 'Wellness Medical Tourism Convergence Cluster' project.
Participants can experience a foot bath in an herbal foot bath containing 44 types of medicinal herbs. The itinerary also includes enjoying Jecheon's nature. Riding the Cheongpung Lake cable car, visitors can reach the summit of Bibong Mountain and take in the panoramic view of Cheongpung Lake. Crossing the Oksunbong Suspension Bridge, they can see Oksunbong, one of Jecheon's ten scenic spots, up close.
The meal composition fitting for wellness also draws attention. For lunch, participants visit a designated restaurant of Jecheon's food brand 'Yakchaerak' to taste a grilled short rib set meal. Yakchaerak cuisine, meaning 'enjoying food that becomes medicine,' features healthy flavors using medicinal soy sauce with astragalus, medicinal chili paste with angelica, and herbal salt made from mulberry leaves.
A representative from Travel Daum said, "After the endemic phase, interest in wellness life has increased mainly among the senior generation, so we have launched a themed product combining travel and wellness. We will continue to introduce special and new experience-oriented senior-themed products to lead the senior travel market.”
