Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will hold the "1st Sharing Day" event at 3 p.m. on the 14th in the main auditorium of Gwangjin-gu Office. The event aims to honor outstanding donors in the region and contribute to the spread of a sharing culture, starting with the proclamation of the "2024 Hope Ondol Warm Winter Campaign."
This event, held for the first time this year, is jointly organized by Gwangjin-gu, the Gwangjin Welfare Foundation, and the Seoul Social Welfare Community Chest, and is expected to play a leading role in promoting a culture of donation under the slogan "Our Neighborhood Sharing Campaign."
The commemorative event will proceed in the order of congratulatory performances, viewing of outstanding case videos, presentation of appreciation plaques to outstanding donors, and the proclamation ceremony. In particular, the "2024 Hope Ondol Warm Winter Proclamation Ceremony" will mark the official start of the project through a performance, providing a meaningful time to encourage and support each other for its successful implementation.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, "As the weather has become noticeably colder, I hope all residents will participate in donation activities to share warm hearts with neighbors in need," and added, "We will continue to build a tight welfare safety net to ensure that no vulnerable neighbors are left out."
The district holds the Hope Ondol Warm Winter Campaign every year from November 15 for three months, collecting donations and goods to help neighbors in need. Additionally, efforts are being made to revitalize the donation culture through initiatives such as the "Donation Agreement Relay," "Angel's Sharing," and the expansion of "QR Code Donations."
