Amorepacific and LG Chem Sign Business Agreement for Eco-Friendly Package Development

Amorepacific announced on the 17th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with LG Chem for the development and supply of sustainable eco-friendly packaging materials.

Through this agreement, Amorepacific plans to introduce various sustainable products aimed at increasing the use of recycled plastics in the manufacturing process of cosmetics and household product packaging and improving environmental impact.

The two companies will specifically collaborate to achieve sustainability management goals, including developing carbon-reducing plastic materials and new products, establishing plastic recycling cooperation models, developing consumer-friendly eco-friendly products, and expanding products using eco-friendly raw materials.

Kang Myung-gu, Head of SCM Unit (Executive Director) at Amorepacific, said, “Based on the eco-friendly business philosophies of both companies, we hope this agreement will create synergy between us,” adding, “Amorepacific will continue to work hand in hand with the entire corporate ecosystem to make the world a more beautiful place.”

Yang Sun-min, Head of NCC/PO Business Division (Executive Director) at LG Chem, stated, “It is significant that two leading companies in their respective fields have joined hands to expand the eco-friendly market,” and added, “LG Chem will lead and actively expand the customized eco-friendly plastics market.”
