Chuseok Miracle? Fell from 14th Floor but Saved by Hanging on Power Line

A man in his 20s who was intoxicated fell from the rooftop of a 14-story building in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, but survived thanks to power lines.

At around 2:08 a.m. on the 29th, a 119 emergency call was received reporting that a man was hanging from power lines at a 14-story complex building in Sang-dong, Bucheon. Fire authorities found Mr. A (in his 20s) hanging from air conditioner power lines between buildings at the height of the 7th floor and rescued him using a ladder truck. Mr. A sustained a bruise on his forehead but was reported to have no serious injuries.

Mr. A said, "I remember drinking with acquaintances and going up to the rooftop, but I do not recall how I fell." Fire authorities are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident, believing that Mr. A slipped and fell.
