Conversely, the estimated travel times from each city to the Seoul tollgate are 7 hours 10 minutes from Busan, 3 hours 10 minutes from Daejeon, 5 hours 10 minutes from Gwangju, 6 hours 14 minutes from Daegu, and 3 hours 10 minutes from Gangneung. Korea Expressway Corporation expects that 6.2 million vehicles will use the highways today, the highest during this Chuseok holiday period. The congestion heading toward hometowns is expected to clear between 8 and 9 PM on the 29th, while the return traffic congestion is expected to ease between 2 and 3 AM on the 30th.
