Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) opened and began full operation of the Community Childcare Sharing Center (Jayang-ro 15-gil 60) on the 21st. The center aims to alleviate the burden on parents by caring for children together with neighbors and sharing childcare information, thereby creating a child-rearing friendly social environment.

The Community Childcare Sharing Center is 67㎡ in size and located on the first floor of the Gwangjin-gu Lifelong Learning Center. It consists of a play area and a nursing room. Equipped with convenience facilities such as safety mats and air purifiers, it provides a comfortable environment where play equipment, toys, and books can be freely and comfortably used.

The operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, and it is closed on public holidays. Parents with children aged from 3 months to under 36 months can use the center. To ensure safe and pleasant use, the center operates in three shifts, allowing up to 10 users per time slot.

Programs for child development and family relationship enhancement are also prepared. These include play programs, parent education programs, shared childcare spaces, and child care cooperatives. Reservations can be made in advance through the Gwangjin-gu Family Center website, and for more details, inquiries can be directed to the Gwangjin-gu Community Childcare Sharing Center.

Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “I hope the Community Childcare Sharing Center becomes a place for parents with young children to support childcare and for children to grow up healthily.” He added, “We will continue to do our best to create a child-rearing friendly environment and make the city a good place to have and raise children.”
