POSCO Gwangyang Steelworks (Director Lee Jin-su) announced on the 20th that it has completed the installation of landscape lighting targeting major multi-use facilities in the Geumho-dong area of Gwangyang.
The landscape lighting installation project began in July, targeting Baegun Art Hall, Baegun Plaza, and Eoullim Gymnasium, and was completed on this day.
Gwangyang Steelworks installed LED landscape lighting at multiple-use facilities in the Geumho-dong area of Gwangyang City, including Eoullim Gymnasium and Baegun Art Hall, aiming to create a bright transformation in the local atmosphere.

A total of 630 million KRW was invested in this landscape lighting improvement project, which was carried out on buildings with high visibility along Baegun-ro, a major road in Geumho-dong, and a bright and vibrant change in the night view of Geumho-dong is expected.
First, Eoullim Gymnasium, used by POSCO Steelworks employees and local residents, was equipped with blue-toned line lighting and floodlights to emphasize its active and sporty image as a sports facility.
Baegun Art Hall, which has functioned as a cultural venue for not only Geumho-dong residents but also Gwangyang citizens through corporate citizen concerts and movie screenings, also underwent a major transformation in its night view.
With the installation of white-toned line lighting and floodlights, the bright and vibrant atmosphere created by the marble exterior walls of the Art Hall building was harmonized.
In particular, by installing tree lights around the trees near the caf? and terrace, which are visited by many citizens, it is expected to provide visitors with a diverse and pleasant atmosphere.
In the case of Baegun Plaza, since it is used not only as a dormitory facility for employees but also as a venue for major guests' events, daylight-colored line lighting and floodlights are expected to offer visitors a cozy and comfortable atmosphere.
A representative of Gwangyang Steelworks said, “With this nighttime lighting installation project, we expect to improve the living environment for citizens and establish Geumho-dong as a new nighttime scenic spot,” adding, “We will continue to carry out various investment projects to enhance the welfare of local residents.”
Meanwhile, Gwangyang Steelworks has been conducting new construction and remodeling projects for multi-use facilities to improve the residential conditions of Geumho-dong local residents. Baegun Art Hall in Geumho-dong is planning to replace the outdated lighting, sound system, and projector by January next year with a total investment of 4 billion KRW, providing citizens with a high-quality cultural life.
