The Visit Busan Pass is a tourist pass that allows easy access to major tourist attractions in Busan and is linked with transportation card functions, providing convenience for foreign tourists traveling in Busan. It was piloted in the first half of this year as the global tourism market resumed.

During the pilot operation period from February 1 to the end of July, a total of 34,543 Visit Busan Passes for 24-hour and 48-hour options were sold, achieving 230% of the sales target.

Additionally, the global online travel agencies (OTA) rating recorded 4.8 points, with 92% positive user reviews. According to surveys, 97% of purchasers evaluated the price positively, receiving strong support from foreign tourists.

After completing the pilot operation, the city reflected global tourism market trends and the preferences of the rapidly increasing number of small individual travelers to officially launch four types of Visit Busan Pass products from the 12th.

The four Visit Busan Pass products include ▲time-limited 24-hour pass (49,000 KRW) ▲48-hour pass (69,000 KRW) ▲quantity-limited BIG3 (45,000 KRW) ▲BIG5 (65,000 KRW).

In particular, the newly released quantity-limited ‘BIG3’ and ‘BIG5’ passes were developed considering the needs of travelers such as MICE participants, medical tourists, and international students who stay for more than three days. These passes have no time restrictions and allow users to select 3 or 5 free affiliated stores to use freely for six months.

Along with the official launch, the city expanded the number of Visit Busan Pass affiliated stores from the original 107 to 163, broadening the range of tourist facilities available to visitors. At the same time, it is expected to revitalize the local tourism industry and economy by attracting tourists.

Special promotions and various events have also been prepared to commemorate the official launch of the Visit Busan Pass.

On the official Visit Busan Pass website, a 50% discount event is being held for the BIG3 and BIG5 passes.

New sales channels, including the global OTA Rakuten Travel, as well as Klook, Kkday, and Trip.com, are running banner advertisements and discount promotions.

Additionally, a visit mission event targeting some free affiliated stores will be promoted to actively appeal the charm of the Visit Busan Pass, an essential item for Busan tourism, to foreign tourists.

Before the official operation of the Visit Busan Pass, a launch show will be held at 3 p.m. on the 11th at the Busan Lotte Hotel.

About 200 people, including Mayor Park Hyung-jun, affiliated stores, industry representatives, related organizations, and major domestic and foreign journalists, will attend to highlight the significance of the Visit Busan Pass created together with the local community.

The event will celebrate the official launch of the Visit Busan Pass and share its vision. It will proceed in the order of the Visit Busan Pass launch declaration, presentations on pilot operation achievements and launch details, interviews with affiliated stores and experience groups, congratulatory performances, and a ceremony.

Mayor Park Hyung-jun stated, “The officially launched Visit Busan Pass is an attractive product with cost-effectiveness and convenience that will contribute to attracting foreign tourists. It will serve as a platform connecting the local tourism industry and overseas tourists, becoming a new turning point for Busan’s tourism industry.”
