Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, attended the children's play culture festival 'Mapo Shinbi Playground' held at the Mapo District Sports Center on the morning of the 26th.

Hosted and organized by the Mapo Early Childhood Integrated Support Center, the event was attended by about 1,050 people including Mayor Park Gang-su, children, parents, and artists. Various experiential activities such as traditional games, world traditional games, board games, and making knot & bead bracelets were held.

In particular, the 'Balloon & Bubble Show' and 'Magic & Juggling Show,' which marked the beginning and end of the performances, attracted great popularity by sparking children's curiosity with their spectacular visuals.

Mayor Park Gang-su said, "I believe a country where children are happy is truly an advanced nation," and added, "I hope children have a pleasant and meaningful time through today's festival, and Mapo District will spare no support to create a city where all children are happy, and furthermore, a city where all residents are happy."

On July 20th, Mapo District received certification as a 'Child-Friendly City' from UNICEF, recognizing it as a city where all children enjoy sufficient rights and live well.
