Yoon Couple's Surprise Visit to Yongsan Children's Garden Multi-Child Event... Wearing Cheonanham Shirt

President Yoon Suk-yeol and his wife made a surprise visit on the afternoon of the 26th to the Fountain Garden within Yongsan Children's Garden for an event inviting families with multiple children.

The presidential couple, dressed in matching Cheonanham shirts, took commemorative photos with the children and engaged in conversations, asking their ages and whether they enjoyed playing in the water, President Yoon's spokesperson Lee Do-woon revealed in a written briefing.

At the event, a total of 68 families, including those with multiple children, and about 270 people (around 140 children) gathered to participate in group recreational activities such as O·X quizzes, hula hoop spinning, idol dance imitation, and color board flipping, the spokesperson introduced.

After greeting the children, President Yoon watched a game between the Jungang Eagles team and Dogok Elementary School at the baseball field next to the Fountain Garden.

The Yongsan Children's Garden Fountain Garden, covering an area of 60,000㎡ (18,000 pyeong), opened on the 12th of this month. Inside the Fountain Garden, there is a 1,800㎡ (540 pyeong) water play area, along with a playground and a caf?.

Yongsan Children's Garden is a park developed on land returned from the U.S. military base and is adjacent to President Yoon's office.

During the construction of the Fountain Garden, clean soil was laid at a thickness of more than 50 cm and grass was planted to block contact with the existing soil. The presidential office explained that water quality in the fountain is also strictly managed through environmental monitoring.
