The People Power Party continued to criticize the Democratic Party of Korea's opposition to the discharge of contaminated water from the Fukushima nuclear power plant in Japan, labeling it as a "political show for Representative Lee Jae-myung."

Spokesperson Kim Ye-ryeong issued a statement on the 26th, saying, "The Democratic Party is inciting a boycott of the fisheries industry through 'contaminated water rumors' gaslighting," and criticized, "The Democratic Party's propaganda and agitation about contaminated water is a terrifying political show for Representative Lee alone. The concerns of the public and the fisheries industry are being neglected."

Spokesperson Kim pointed out, "Representative Lee's consistent and intense falsehoods have contaminated the entire Democratic Party," and added, "The Democratic Party should prioritize controlling its internal wastewater."

He also took aim at the Democratic Party's outdoor rallies, stating, "They have deliberately chosen highly provocative words that go beyond mere rumors?such as terrorism, a second Pacific War, environmental war crimes, and joint perpetrators?to plunge the Republic of Korea into chaos."

He continued, "This is low-quality politics that shamelessly engages in malicious behavior for their own safety and objectives."

Spokesperson Kim said, "The safety of our seafood has been scientifically proven," and criticized, "Nevertheless, the Democratic Party's excessive false agitation continues daily, inevitably leading to a decline in seafood consumption. The Democratic Party is the main force behind the seafood boycott movement."

He added, "The government's thorough monitoring and transparent information gathering regarding the discharge of contaminated water will become stronger and more sustained," and stated, "The People Power Party will prioritize the health of our people above all else and will do its utmost to protect our seas and fisheries until the public feels assured."
