Pulmuone announced on the 20th that Museum Kimchikan will operate a free kimchi school program called 'Vegan Kimchi' targeting the 2030 generation.
Pulmuone Museum Kimchikan is the first kimchi museum in Korea, which opened in 1986 in Pildong, Jung-gu, and was newly reopened in 2015 under the name Museum Kimchikan in Insadong, Jongno-gu.
This program expands Museum Kimchikan's representative social contribution program, the free kimchi school, from focusing on children, foreigners, and multicultural families to include the MZ generation. As vegan food culture spreads among the MZ generation, 'Vegan Kimchi' was planned as the concept to introduce kimchi familiar to vegetarians.
Pulmuone explained, "The vegan kimchi school is designed as a curriculum where the 2030 generation, accustomed to delivery food and instant meals, can prepare a vegan table setting themselves along with vegan kimchi." They added, "Participants can not only make vegan kimchi using vegan recipes but also create vegan side dishes together."
