The Korean Embassy in France announced on the morning of the 22nd (local time) that local police confirmed the circumstances of Mr. A's (36) death through closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage.

Mr. A died between 9:30 PM and 10:00 PM on the 12th at the Villejuif Louis Aragon station on Line 7 of the Paris subway.

It was reported that Mr. A had visited France on vacation. When his family confirmed that he did not board the flight back to Korea on the 14th, they contacted the Korean Embassy the next day, and on the 16th, the embassy found a body presumed to be Mr. A’s at the forensic institute.

Local police are investigating the case on the premise that Mr. A was electrocuted while attempting to cross the subway tracks carrying high-voltage current.

The Korean Embassy plans to hand over the body to the family as soon as the local police complete their investigation.
