'Battle of the Century' Musk vs Zuckerberg, SNS War of Words → Escalation to Physical Fight?

"Ready to fight" → "Tell me the place" heated exchange continues
High interest in whether they will actually meet in Las Vegas

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and Twitter, and Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta Platforms, engaged in a war of words on social networking services (SNS) and then announced an octagon brawl, suggesting a physical fight. Although it is uncertain whether the actual meeting will take place, the world’s attention was drawn to the exchange between the two of the world’s richest billionaires.

On the 21st (local time), Musk CEO posted on his Twitter, "I am ready to fight him (Zuckerberg CEO) inside a cage." This was in response to a Twitter user tagging Musk CEO after Meta announced it would launch an application called 'Threads' as a rival to Twitter, saying, "I heard he (Zuckerberg CEO) does jiu-jitsu, so be careful."

After Musk CEO’s tweet, Zuckerberg CEO captured the tweet and uploaded it on his Instagram with the phrase "Send me your location," counterattacking. Musk CEO immediately responded with just two words: "Las Vegas octagon."

Whether their fistfight will actually materialize remains uncertain. Various speculations are pouring in on SNS about the dispute between the two famous figures. The IT specialized media The Verge explained, "Musk CEO is 51 years old this year, older than 39-year-old Zuckerberg CEO, but he has an advantage in physique."

However, there is also an analysis that Musk CEO is significantly behind in stamina. The U.S. economic media Business Insider even said, "He should start training." In fact, Musk CEO tweeted that day, "I hardly exercise except lifting kids or throwing them in the air."

Zuckerberg CEO is well known as a jiu-jitsu enthusiast. Last month, he participated in a jiu-jitsu competition and won a gold medal. He also posted on Instagram, "I completed a 3.2 km run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, and 300 squats within 40 minutes while wearing a 10 kg weighted bulletproof vest."

Meanwhile, Musk CEO also once challenged Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, who launched an airstrike on Ukraine in March last year, to a one-on-one duel, saying, "Let’s fight." At that time, the Russian side responded with a comment quoting a passage from a fairy tale collection written by the great writer Aleksandr Sergeyevich Pushkin, posted by Dmitry Rogozin, head of the Russian Federal Space Agency Roscosmos, on behalf of President Putin: "Little devil, you are still a rookie and weakling. Fighting me is a waste of time."
