At 7:03 a.m. on the 22nd, about 5 km before Hadong IC (interchange) on the Namhae Expressway in Jingyo-myeon, Hadong-gun, Gyeongnam, the right tire of a 25-ton tanker carrying about 25,000 liters of heating oil heading toward Suncheon punctured.

As a result of the accident, tire fragments splattered onto the tanker, spilling about 40 liters of heating oil across the road.


Due to this, driver A, who was driving in the second lane of the expressway, quickly pulled over to the shoulder, preventing further damage.


Police and fire authorities who responded to A’s report removed all the heating oil spilled on the road.


The police are investigating the exact cause of the accident, believing that the tanker tire burst after running over an unidentified object on the road.
