On the 20th, the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) and the Personal Information Protection Commission announced that they will hold the '2023 Overseas Personal Information Protection Regulation Response Support Project Meeting' online on the 27th for domestic companies entering major overseas markets such as the EU and the United States.

At this meeting, they will introduce ▲ key contents of the 2023 Overseas Personal Information Protection Regulation Response Support Project ▲ how to use information on overseas personal information protection laws and administrative systems ▲ how to use free consultation services for overseas personal information protection laws, and hold a Q&A session. Applications for the meeting can be made through the KISA website until the 26th. The first 260 pre-registered attendees will receive the <2022 Overseas Personal Information Protection Law Consultation Casebook> and the <2022 In-depth Analysis Report on Overseas Personal Information Protection Legislation and Trends> books on a first-come, first-served basis.


Na Eun-ah, Head of the Personal Information Policy Division at KISA, said, “KISA is currently providing trend reports on the status of personal information protection laws and administrative systems in 32 countries for companies expanding overseas,” adding, “We hope that KISA’s Overseas Personal Information Protection Regulation Response Support Project will help small and medium-sized domestic enterprises that lack the capacity to respond to global compliance.”
